Girls Basketball battles back against Danbury

Newington 51, Danbury 39: Newington girls basketball picked up another win on Saturday, winning 51-39 on Danbury.

Newington had its biggest deficit of the season at halftime, trailing by 10 at 30-20. The Nor’easters were able to rally, outscoring Danbury 31-9 across the final two quarters.

Leading in scoring was Lilly Ferguson with 25 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Bela Cucuta added eight points.
