Winter Sports Plan Updated 1/14

The CIAC, in conjunction with guidance from the CT Department of Public Health, has released guidelines that will allow Basketball, Ice Hockey, Boys Swimming & Diving, & Indoor Track to begin their seasons on Tuesday, 1/19. Due to NHS moving to full remote until Monday, 1/25, we will not begin in person practice until that date. Please refer to direct coach communications and information listed on each team's website for further information. Below is a link to the CIAC update.

All student athletes interested in participating in a Winter sport should register online immediately, with a deadline of Tuesday, 1/19, to start on time. Physicals need to be on file with the Nurse's Office and should be dated after 10/21/19. $100 participation fee for Basketball and Boys Swimming & Diving can be dropped off at the Athletic Office or in the Main Office during the school day. The coaches for Ice Hockey and Indoor Track will provide further sport specific guidance on payment due to their particular situations.

As we welcome everyone back, we remind everyone that our ultimate goal is the safety and welfare of our student athletes, so we must remember to follow the following protocols:

*Stay home when not feeling well

*Masks are to be worn at ALL times

*6ft. social distance should be maintained when not engaged in a practice activity or contest

*Wellness Assessment should be completed each day

*Individual water bottle, sanitizer, and additional masks must accompany a student athlete everyday in order to participate

*Wash hands and avoid touching your face throughout the day
