Boys Volleyball clinches State Tournament slot

NEWINGTON – Newington boys volleyball blanked hall Wednesday night 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-13).

Jacob Baclawski racked up 16 kills for Newington, assisting four points. Eni Lici assisted 27 points and had five aces from serve.

Josh Akosa had nine kills with six digs. Sean Stegmaier tallied four kills.

The win improves Newington to 8-1, giving it an automatic bid for the Class M state tournament in June. Hall falls to 3-4.
