Congratulations to Aiden Toth & Tommy Doyle for being named All Conference!

NEWINGTON

The Newington boys cross country team had a solid day at the meet as four of the teams top runners finished in the top 100. The boys team finished 12th overall and something the coaching staff was happy with.

“I think they all ran fine today,” assistant coach Josh Smith said. “The weather wasn’t the greatest and that had an effect, but I think a few of them got personal bests which is what we look for. They left it all out there so you can’t really ask for more than that.”

On the girls side, the Indians didn’t have their best day as they finished 26th overall and didn’t have any runners in the top 100. But Smith was pleased with their efforts and the improvement they continued to show.
