Do Not Attempt to Clear FieldsThursday, March 16, 2017 The recent blizzard has caused many frustrations as we look to begin our spring season. We all would love to be out on a field for day one, but that is obviously not going to be the case this year. Even though we want the snow to go away as fast as possible, it is extremely important that we all allow the fields to melt themselves and not try to take the cleaning into our own hands. I know that it may be tempting, but at no time should anyone attempt snow removal on the Clem Lemire Turf Field, or any field across the town, in order to avoid damage and the potential for an even longer period of time without access to the locations. We are not the only community in this predicament, so we will not be left behind. I hope everyone was able to dig out safely and we appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we enter into the spring sports season. Go Indians! Regards, The Newington Athletic Department
