Boys Volleyball advances to CCC Semifinals

The sixth-seed, Newington took down third-seeded Farmington 3-1 Tuesday afternoon in the conference tournament quarterfinals.

Newington and Farmington traded both the first two sets 25-21before Newington was able to secure the last two 25-14 and 25-18.

Andres Ithier-Vicenty (20 kills), Evan Metzger (38 assists), Kevin Bilbraut (16 digs, 2 aces) and Zach Harmon (13 digs, 8 kills) led the way for Newington, who will now be playing East Hartford in the next round.
