Simsbury 221, Newington 224: It was a solid start to the season for the Indians on Thursday, and although they did not come away with the victory, there were a few standouts who played rather well to start the year.

Simsbury’s Mikayla Sheary was the medalist on the day, shooting a low of 44 for the Trojans at Indian Hill in Newington (par 36). Newington had a close bunch of golfers on the day. Jin Change had the low score for the Indians, shooting a 54 while Courtney Oushana and Marie Allo both shot a 56. Kira Mason also had a 58 for Newington.
