Raymond Neistat Makes First State Tournament Appearance

The Class L Diving Trials and Finals held at Middletown High School last night was very competitive.  With 27 divers qualifying for the state tournament, first year Newington diver Raymond Neistat had his best diving performance to date.  Raymond, a sophomore was competing against some of the best divers in the state, many of which have years of diving experience.  After last night's performance, Raymond proved that he earned the right to compete with the best in the state.  Raymond finished in ninth place at Class L Finals with a career best 334.85 for 11 dives.  This also earned Raymond another apprearance next Thursday at the State Diving Opens where only the top 24 in all 4 divisions compete.  Good luck to Raymond Neistat at Opens, and congratulations on a terrific season.
