Girls Basketball falls to East Catholic

East Catholic 45, Newington 35: The Newington girls basketball team fell to 2-5 on the year after a loss at East Catholic Saturday afternoon. The second quarter proved to be the difference as the Indians were outscored 13-2, which meant they faced a 24-11 deficit heading into the second half. Newington had a better second half in terms of scoring, but it wasn’t enough for a comeback.

Leading the way for Newington in the loss were Abrial Murray and Kaitlyn Bernacki, as they both scored nine points.
