FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION will be in August, 2024.  First practice is at 8:30 AM on Thursday, August 22, behind JWMS

SUMMER TRAINING

If you want to be a serious xc runner, you need to take base training during the summer seriously, so you are ready to race in the fall.  But even if you are simply joining xc for wellness, you need to run at least 3 times per week over the summer to reduce your risk of injury once the season starts (when everyone runs every day, six days a week).

Summer training requires self motivation!  There are no required/supervised practices. Instead, you need to run on your own or (best yet) gather a friend(s) to run with you. More suggestions on Summer Training are posted on the tab to the left and on our Band app.

Transportation: We periodically travel out of town, both in-season and during the summer, to add variety to our training runs.  If you do not drive, or have parents who work and are unable to drive you, pls inform your coach so we can help arrange alternative plans.  We don't want anyone left out simply due to logistics!
